Get your connection moving again.

Choose the message that looks closest to what happened. None of these connection errors changes or deletes your ResuMax data.

Safe support reminder

ResuMax support will never ask for your password, OAuth access token, Supabase key, or full resume over email.

Check the connection address first

This is the only ResuMax address an MCP client needs.

The AI app cannot add ResuMax

Confirm that your AI app supports remote MCP servers with OAuth. Add ResuMax as a remote or custom connector and paste the exact address below—do not add a trailing path or an API key.

What to do: If the app only accepts local commands or configuration files, use a client that supports remote Streamable HTTP connections.

Sign-in keeps looping or the request expired

Return to your AI app and begin the connection again. Authorization links are short-lived and cannot be reused safely after they expire.

What to do: Use the same browser session for sign-in and approval. If a stale ResuMax tab is open, close it and start from the AI app again.

ResuMax says the authorization request is invalid

The original connection request is missing, expired, or already used. This does not affect your account or resumes.

What to do: Do not refresh or reuse the error page. Go back to the connector screen in ChatGPT, Claude, or your MCP client and choose Connect again.

A tool says an upgrade is required

Your connection is working. Free includes job search and safe workspace views; personalized matching, resume work, cover letters, exports, and account updates need Pro, Premium, or an applicable one-time document unlock.

What to do: Open the plan link included in the response. The connection stays active after you upgrade, so you can retry the same request.

A request is still running or was retried

ResuMax protects metered and writing actions from duplicate execution. If another copy of the same request is already running, your AI assistant receives a safe wait-and-retry response.

What to do: Wait a moment and ask the AI assistant to check again. Do not create a different request merely to force a second copy.

A tool is temporarily unavailable

ResuMax or one of its production services could not complete the request safely. The response includes whether retrying is appropriate and a request reference for support.

What to do: Retry once if the message says it is safe. If it fails again, send support the time, AI client name, tool or task you requested, and the request reference—never send an access token.

Disconnect a client

Open ResuMax Settings, find AI connections, and choose Disconnect. The client immediately loses access to ResuMax tools; your documents remain untouched.

Open connection settings

Reconnect cleanly

Disconnect the old entry in ResuMax and remove ResuMax from the AI client. Then add the address again and complete one fresh sign-in flow.
